About DAI
Our Organization
Founded in 2016, DAI began as a grassroots effort to provide newcomer children and youth in Winnipeg with safe, engaging spaces for learning and growth. Starting with a small group, we have grown steadily to serve around 150 students each year through a range of after-school and summer programs.
Over time, we adapted to changing needs by introducing virtual learning and expanding our programs to include employment support and mental wellness. Our dedication to the community has earned recognition from the City of Winnipeg and strong partnerships with local organizations and funders.
DAI’s story is one of growth, resilience, and a deep connection to the newcomer community we proudly serve.
